Ballet helps students build a strong foundation that they can take with them in any other genre. Ballet allows dancers to develop balance, proper body alignment, muscle control, and coordination.
Jazz utilizes isolations of the body, as well as full body flexibility and movement. Jazz uses progressions across the floor, where students can learn the history of jazz dance and music.
Acrobatics combines flexibility, strength, contortion and balance into one. Where dance meets gymnastics is acrobatics. Dancers will work on flexibility to excel in contortion, while using strength to practice tumbling skills.
Looking for a fun class to boost your confidence? Hip hop is for you! Hip hop allows dancers to bring their individual personalities with both full body movement and intricate steps. Upbeat music provides an exciting environment keeping students entertained and engaged.
Students will utilize footwork to help with coordination, while using the rhythm the taps make to expand on musicality.
Created by Martha Graham, modern dance uses contraction and expansion of the body through fluid, long movement qualities. Dancers will work on control and strength through floor work, progressions, and modern warm-ups.
Contemporary dance is a blend of ballet, modern, and jazz utilizing all different movement qualities as well as expression and storytelling.
